The Missouri women’s basketball team secured their third consecutive victory with a 68-61 win over SMU in the ACC/SEC Challenge. The Tigers got off to a strong start, leading 21-13 after the first quarter and 33-29 at halftime. Despite a late run from SMU in the third quarter, Missouri maintained their lead heading into the final minutes of the game. Abbey Schreacke’s fourth 3-pointer helped secure the win for the Tigers. Grace Slaughter led the team with 17 points, followed by Schreacke with 16, Ashton Judd with 14, and Laniah Randle with 10. Hannah Linthacum also contributed with five points and seven rebounds. SMU’s Kylie Marshall scored 18 points, while Zanai Jones added 17 and Nya Robertson was limited to 12 points. Missouri shot 40% from the field, 36% from 3-point range, and 65% from the free-throw line. The Tigers, now 8-3, will play against Northern Illinois on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
