The case involved the killings of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, in 2017.
Allen’s legal team claims he is innocent and suggests the murders could have been part of a ritual sacrifice. They challenge the timeline and witness accounts, including one that described a man covered in mud and blood near where the bodies were found. The investigator Dulin recalled Allen saying he was at the trail where the girls were killed between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the day of the murders.
Witnesses described seeing a man on the trail, known as the “bridge guy”, who matched the description of Allen. After the information provided by Allen was revisited, a search warrant led to the discovery of a bullet matching a handgun owned by Allen. Ballistics experts confirmed the match, leading to his arrest.
