Governor Mike Kehoe Designates Branson as the “Live Entertainment Capital of Missouri”
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – In a significant move to honor the cultural richness of the region, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe officially signed Senate Bill (SB) 348 in Branson, designating the city as the “Live Entertainment Capital of Missouri.” This bill highlights Branson’s long-standing reputation as a premier destination, attracting millions with its world-class music, performances, and family-oriented entertainment.
SB 348 encompasses 46 additional designations, recognizing various individuals, locations, and causes significant to the people of Missouri. Among its provisions are honorary days, weeks, and months, titles for cities and towns, and the naming of roads and bridges after individuals who have positively impacted their communities, including those who have fallen in the line of duty.
“I appreciate the efforts of legislators to honor the people, places, and causes important to their constituents,” said Governor Kehoe. He emphasized Branson’s legacy as a welcoming destination for visitors, filled with stories and contributions that deserve recognition.
