Wrestlers O’Toole and Steed Achieve CSC Academic All-District Recognition

Two Missouri Wrestlers Achieve Academic All-District Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri proudly announces that wrestlers Keegan O’Toole and Cam Steed have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, as recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This marks the third consecutive honor for senior O’Toole, while redshirt sophomore Steed earns this distinction for the first time.

The Academic All-District team honors elite student-athletes nationwide for their achievements both academically and athletically. O’Toole concluded a remarkable career, crowned as the 2025 Big 12 Champion and finishing second at the NCAA Championships in the 174-pound category. With a standout season record of 20-1, including victories over numerous ranked opponents, he achieved his 100th career win despite a challenging recovery from a torn ACL. His impressive performance at the NCAA Tournament, where he recorded 16 bonus-point wins, led to notable recognitions including Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Big 12 Championship and selections for Academic All-Big 12 and NWCA Scholar All-America.

Steed, in his inaugural season on the Tigers’ starting lineup, posted a record of 19-7, becoming a Big 12 runner-up at 165 pounds and securing recognition as an NCAA All-American with a seventh-place finish. He earned the prestigious NWCA Gorriaran Award for achieving the most falls in the shortest amount of time at the NCAA Championships. Notably, he led the team with total falls this season, receiving both the Ben Askren Most Falls Award and Most Improved Wrestler.

These Academic All-District honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with the announcements for the first, second, and third teams scheduled for July 16.
