Local Photographer Showcases Talent at Sikeston Depot Museum
Sikeston, MO—Local photographer Don Lloyd has garnered attention for his striking nature photography, which captures the essence of Mississippi and New Madrid counties. Lloyd, who spends his time exploring the area, finds inspiration along rivers and in rural landscapes. “I’ll just be driving around Mississippi and New Madrid counties, and that’s where I find all these things,” he shared, emphasizing his passion.
Theresa Renaud, an employee at the Sikeston Depot Museum, praised Lloyd’s exceptional talent, stating, “If you’re ever looking for Don, he’s probably out in the boondocks capturing the perfect picture,” recognizing his ability to showcase the beauty of the local environment.
The museum is excited to host Lloyd’s work, with plans to feature his wood carvings in May 2026. “We are super-thankful to have his work here at the Depot,” Renaud added, encouraging community members to visit the museum to experience Lloyd’s unique perspective on nature.
