Press Release: 2025 CUSA Football Kickoff and Media Day Set for July 22 in Frisco, Texas

Conference USA (CUSA) has announced that its 2025 Football Kickoff and Media Day will take place on Tuesday, July 22, at the PGA of America headquarters in Frisco, Texas. CUSA Commissioner Judy MacLeod expressed excitement about returning to the venue after last year’s successful event, highlighting the modern facilities and excellent hospitality.
This year’s event will feature head coaches and players from all 12 programs, including newcomers Missouri State and Delaware, alongside returning teams such as FIU, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Sam Houston, UTEP, and WKU. Missouri State’s representatives will include head coach Ryan Beard, quarterback Jacob Clark, and defensive back J.J. O’Neal.
Participants will take part in press conferences and media availability, with a live show produced by ESPN+, hosted by Mike Corey from a state-of-the-art studio. The 2024 season saw Jacksonville State crowned CUSA champions after defeating WKU, with several teams earning bowl berths, including Liberty, LA Tech, Sam Houston, and WKU, with Sam Houston achieving its first FBS bowl victory.
