Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Victim with a Weapon
Columbia, MO – A 19-year-old man, Ramelus D. Bradley Jr. of Columbia, was arrested on Thursday following allegations of making threats and assaulting a victim with a weapon. The Columbia Police Department (CPD) responded to reports of a disturbance around 6:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Providence Road.
According to a police press release, the victim reported that Bradley assaulted them both in their home and at a nearby University of Missouri parking lot. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly inside the victim’s residence, where a 2-year-old child was present. Officers safely retrieved the child from the home, but it was later confirmed that Bradley had left the scene.
The investigation led authorities to locate Bradley in the 2500 block of Quail Drive, where he was taken into custody. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of Fourth-Degree Domestic Assault, Second-Degree Domestic Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal Action, as filed by the University Police.
Bradley has been booked into the Boone County Jail, with no bond set. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case, urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
