Tragic Death of Missouri State Football Player Todric McGee
SPRINGFIELD, MO—Missouri State University (MSU) is mourning the loss of football player Todric McGee, who died early Saturday at a local hospital from injuries sustained in an incident at his home. The 21-year-old safety was discovered by police responding to a well-being call at an apartment complex on Friday, where he was found with what was described as a "possible accidental gunshot wound." He was promptly transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding McGee’s death. The beloved athlete was entering his fifth season with the Missouri State Bears and served as the starting safety for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
