Dr. Sam Alexander Announces Candidacy for Missouri State Senate
Fair Play, MO — Dr. Sam Alexander has officially declared his candidacy for the Missouri State Senate in District 28, aiming to succeed term-limited Senator Sandy Crawford. This district encompasses Benton, Cedar, Dallas, Henry, Hickory, Pettis, Polk, St. Clair, and Vernon Counties.
“As a true conservative Republican, I am committed to defending the freedoms of Senate District 28," Dr. Alexander stated. He highlighted his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing his determination to prevent such injustices from recurring. His campaign focuses on key issues including protecting life, upholding the Second Amendment, securing elections, opposing "woke" ideologies, and ensuring that Missouri farmland remains in American hands.
Dr. Alexander boasts over 30 years of experience as a board-certified Emergency Department physician and serves as a senior partner at CoxHealth in Springfield, MO. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and an MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School in 1982. Throughout his career, he has mentored numerous medical professionals while also serving as a non-paid director for rural fire and rescue districts in Southwest Missouri. In addition to his medical career, Dr. Alexander is also a pilot and active farmer, being a member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and Missouri Farm Bureau.
