Free Commercial Fishing Clinic in Hannibal, Mo.

HANNIBAL, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is inviting anglers to a complimentary commercial fishing clinic along the Mississippi River in Clark County on June 20 and 21. The clinic aims to educate individuals interested in commercial fishing and is limited to 20 participants.

Scheduled sessions include June 20 from 4-8 p.m. and June 21 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interested attendees must complete an application, which will be followed by an informative selection process. Those applying will receive a questionnaire, with a submission deadline of May 20. Successful applicants will be notified by May 23, while others will be placed on a waitlist.

The program will cover essential topics such as Missouri’s Commercial Fishing Program, commercial fishing ethics, regulations, fishery management, and equipment types. Participants will also learn about fish handling, cleaning, and care through hands-on demonstrations.
