Gorillas’ Split Against Central Missouri Ends in a Draw


The Pittsburg State University softball team split a conference doubleheader against Central Missouri, winning game one 4-0 and losing game two 5-3. In game one, pitcher Ava Laurent struck out 12 Jennies, with Kendall Forbes and Kadyn Trochim contributing to the scoring. In game two, Central Missouri took an early lead and extended it with a grand slam, but Pitt State fought back with solo home runs from Courtney Storey, Kadyn Trochim, and Sophia Driver in the sixth inning.
