Missouri State women’s tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to Belmont in their penultimate home match of the season. Despite the loss, Billur Gonlusen had a standout performance, winning her doubles match with partner Tuana Gunal and her singles match against Belmont’s Viktoria Kliimand. Raluca Puscas also contributed a point for Missouri State with a victory in her singles match.
The Bears will have one more home match against Murray State on Sunday, April 13, where seniors Sandra Lukacova and Amy Henning will be honored in a senior ceremony. Admission to the match at Cooper Tennis Complex will be free.
Missouri State’s record now stands at 3-18 overall and 2-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
