Morgan State Triumphs Over Missouri State in Face-Off Between Bears


The Morgan State Acrobatic and Tumbling team ended their season on a high note with a victory over Missouri State in the “Battle of the Bears” showdown at Hill Field House. The Lady Bears finished the season on a three-meet winning streak with a final score of 238.440 – 208.540 in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) meet.

The team displayed strong performances in the Compulsory event, acro heat, and pyramid event to maintain a lead throughout the match. Individual standout performances by Kiera Harris, Kayla Bryant, and Marrisa Jett helped secure the win for Morgan State.

After the match, Coach Regina Smith expressed her pride in the team’s victory and the dedication of the seniors, including Amaya Burns, Indirah Mitter, and Lavell Isom. The seniors were recognized for their leadership and commitment to the program, with plans to pursue further education and careers in the future.
