The Missouri Tigers are in the running for the top overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, Jackson Cantwell, from Nixa, Missouri. Cantwell named the Tigers as one of his finalists in February and was expected to make a decision after taking official visits with each program. However, he hinted on social media that his decision might come sooner than anticipated.
Cantwell has visits planned with Miami, Missouri, Georgia, Michigan, and Oregon throughout the upcoming summer. Ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 class, Cantwell is a 6-foot-7, 300 lb. elite blocker with quick feet and a strong punch at the point of attack. Landing Cantwell would be a significant boost for the Tigers’ recruiting class, as he could potentially attract other highly rated prospects to the program.
As of now, Missouri has two commitments for the 2026 class on the defensive side of the ball. DL Anthony Kennedy, Jr. from Littlerock, Arkansas committed in December 2024, and S D’Montae Tims from Seffner, Florida committed in April 2025.
