University of Missouri graduate student Caleb Grill of the men’s basketball team has been recognized for his outstanding work in the community. Grill leads the Tigers in community service hours by participating in various local activities in both Columbia and his hometown of Wichita, Kansas. Some of his notable contributions include volunteering at the local Children’s Hospital, supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Columbia, and participating in programs like Reality U in Wichita Public Schools.
Despite his busy schedule giving back to the community, Grill also excels on the court as a two-time team captain, leading Mizzou in scoring with 14.4 points per game and a 3-point shooting percentage of 42.6. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership both on and off the court, earning him a spot on the SEC Community Service Team.
The SEC Community Service Team recognizes student-athletes for their efforts beyond their athletic achievements. Grill’s dedication to serving others reflects the values of the team, which has been recognizing outstanding contributions for 27 years in men’s basketball. The SEC has been awarding Community Service Teams for all league-sponsored sports since 2004.
Grill and the Tigers will be facing Kentucky on Senior Day in their regular-season finale, giving him one more chance to showcase his skills on the court and continue making a positive impact in the community.
