In a thrilling Missouri Valley Conference regular-season finale, Missouri State Bears lost to Drake Bulldogs in overtime, 68-60. Despite leading the entire second half, Missouri State saw Drake tie the game with free throws in the final seconds to force overtime. Bennett Stirtz led the Bulldogs with 23 points, including the game-winning bucket in overtime. Tavjon Banks added 14 points for Drake.
Missouri State had strong performances from Dez White and Vincent Brady II, who each scored 17 points. The Bears made 10 three-pointers, but struggled to score in overtime, going 0-for-5. Drake capitalized on second-chance opportunities, outrebounding the Bears and scoring critical points off offensive rebounds.
The Bears will now turn their focus to the 2025 MVC Men’s Basketball Championship, where they will face Illinois State in the first round.
