Broemmel and Viljoen Secure Spot in SEC Finals with Impressive Timekeeping


The University of Missouri track and field team had a successful Day Two at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in College Station, Texas. Standout performances were seen in the women’s mile, with Rahel Broemmel and Anneken Viljoen securing spots in the finals. Broemmel ran a personal best race finishing fourth, while Viljoen came in eighth. In the weight throw, Sam Innes placed fourth for the men, while Reagan Kimrey set a top ten program record for the women.

Emanuele Bellanova showed his versatility in the men’s heptathlon, finishing sixth overall with personal bests in 6 out of 7 events. The team will continue to compete on the final day of the championships at the Fasken Indoor Track & Field Complex. The women’s high jump will start at 2 PM.
