NCAA Releases Wrestling Coaches’ Final Rankings and Championship Allocations


The Big 12 Conference has received 61 pre-allocations for the 2025 NCAA Division I Championship, coming in second after the Big 10 with 87 allocations. These pre-allocations were determined based on win percentage, coaches’ ranking, and RPI ranking, with each conference awarded a minimum of one automatic qualification per weight class.

Missouri’s wrestling team, known as Tiger Style, had nine out of 10 wrestlers qualify at the Big 12 Tournament last season, with one receiving an at-large bid. The team has seven wrestlers ranked in the NCAA coaches’ rankings, with four in the top 15 of their weight classes. The Tigers will be competing in the Big 12 Championship beginning on Saturday, March 8 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee will meet to select the remaining 43 at-large qualifiers on March 11, with brackets and seeding announced on NCAA.com on March 12. Each weight class will consist of 33 wrestlers in the championship.

In terms of pre-allocations by weight class for the Big 12, there are varying numbers of spots available, with the most in the 125, 141, and 184 weight classes. Missouri’s wrestlers are also ranked in the top 30 in the NCAA coaches’ rankings, with Keegan O’Toole at No. 5 in the 174 weight class being the highest-ranked Tiger.
