Colorado Springs Bike Swap is back this April for its annual event | Lifestyle

The annual Colorado Springs Bike Swap is set to take place on April 12 at SoccerHaus, offering a pre-season opportunity for cyclists to buy and sell gear, apparel, and bikes. This year, proceeds from the $5 entry fee will benefit nonprofits Kids on Bikes and Colorado Springs Mountain Bike Association. Gabe Alvarado, the event organizer since 2017, described this year as a “transition year,” with the two nonprofits taking over organizing duties next year. The event typically sees 60-80 vendors and 600-800 attendees, providing a community-focused and trustworthy environment for buying and selling cycling gear. Individual seller booths start at $30, with businesses having the option of larger, high-traffic spaces for $120. Additionally, attendees can add a price-tagged bike to the corral for $15. The Bike Swap has been a popular event for cyclists looking to upgrade their gear or find affordable options for their families. Alvarado emphasized the value of the event from a community perspective, with the primary goal being to cover expenses and support local organizations rather than making a profit. This year’s event promises to be another successful opportunity for cyclists to gear up for the upcoming summer season.
