A family of five was able to safely escape a fire at their townhome in Imperial, Missouri on Monday night. The fire occurred on Northward Trails Drive and was contained to the second story of their unit, without affecting any neighboring units. The family, which included an infant and two other children, successfully evacuated the home without any injuries. However, their dog is currently missing.
Alyson Rotter from the Rock Community Fire Protection District reported that the fire department was called to the scene at around 11 p.m. Due to fire damage in the original townhome and water damage sustained by other units, all residents of the townhome complex have been displaced.
The family’s ability to escape the fire unharmed is a testament to the importance of having a fire safety plan in place. The community is grateful for the efforts of the firefighters who responded quickly to prevent further damage. Anyone with information regarding the missing dog is encouraged to contact the local authorities.
