Lindenwood beach volleyball team achieved a historic milestone in their program by starting the 2025 season with a 2-0 record after sweeping the competition on day one of the Missouri State Tournament. The Lions secured victories over both Hendrix College and Park University (Mo.).
In the first match against Hendrix College, Lindenwood dominated with a 5-0 win, remaining undefeated against Hendrix since the inception of their program in the 2022-23 academic year. The pairs of Janke/Shepherd, Gentemann/Belcher, Putz/Bockhorst, Jacobs/McWhorter, and Wilson/VanBuskirk all contributed to the victory with impressive performances.
In the second match against Park University (Mo.), Lindenwood continued their winning streak with a 4-1 triumph. The pairs of Janke/Shepard, Gentemann/Belcher, Bockhorst/Putz, and Wilson/VanBuskirk secured victories, while Jacobs/McWhorter suffered the only loss of the afternoon.
Lindenwood will continue their tournament on Saturday, Feb. 22nd against Missouri State and Southwest Baptist.
