Terry scores 25 points as Southeast Missouri State defeats Western Illinois 87-66


Southeast Missouri State continued its winning streak with an 87-66 victory over Western Illinois on Thursday night. Brendan Terry led the way with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Tedrick Washington Jr. added 19 points. BJ Ward contributed 15 points as well in the Redhawks’ eighth consecutive win.

On the other side, Trey Deveaux scored 20 points for the Leathernecks, and Julius Rollins chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds. Marko Maletic also added 11 points to the losing effort.

With this win, Southeast Missouri State improved to 18-10 overall and 13-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference, while Western Illinois fell to 10-18 overall and 4-13 in conference play.

The Redhawks will next host Lindenwood, while the Leathernecks will visit Little Rock on Saturday. Both teams will be looking to bounce back or continue their winning ways in their upcoming matchups.
