A 19-year-old was tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Perry County, Missouri late Monday night. The young man, from St. Mary, lost control of his pickup truck on U.S. 51 north of Route NN, north of Brewer. After hitting a stationary car, the truck flipped, collided with three other stationary vehicles, and ultimately landed on the porch of a home. Emergency responders pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol determined that the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The Perry County Sheriff’s Office and Perryville Police Department assisted with the investigation. The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of wearing seat belts and driving safely, as an accident can happen at any moment. The community mourns the loss of a young life in this devastating crash. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time.
