Kris Flood, who coached Republic High School girls’ basketball for 25 seasons, led the Lady Tigers to two state championships and numerous conference titles. Brent Thomas, the hitting coach for Missouri State baseball for 32 years, played a key role in the team’s success, including a trip to the College World Series in 2003. Nyla Milleson made her mark in Missouri as a successful basketball coach at Glendale High School and Drury University.
Other inductees included Benny Lawson, a successful football coach at Monett and Parkview High School, and Horner Askins, who dedicated over 60 years to high school sports in Missouri. Corey Riggs, a sports broadcaster, was also honored for his contributions to high school and college sports coverage.
