Late Rally Falls Short as Women’s Basketball Loses to No. 18 Tennessee

The University of Missouri women’s basketball team was defeated 76-71 by No. 18 Tennessee in a hard-fought game at Mizzou Arena. Despite a strong start and impressive performances from players such as Laniah Randle, De’Myla Brown, Grace Slaughter, and Ashton Judd, the Tigers couldn’t hold on to their lead. Missouri outshot Tennessee and scored more points in the paint but ultimately fell short.

Senior forward Laniah Randle recorded her fifth double-double of the season, while graduate guard De’Myla Brown put up 18 points off the bench. The Tigers took an early lead but struggled as the Lady Vols fought back. Despite a late comeback attempt led by Brown, Missouri couldn’t close the gap in time.
