Missouri State University is set to award a total of 1,400 degrees at its fall 2024 commencement. The ceremony will take place on December 13 at the Great Southern Bank Arena, with two ceremonies scheduled at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The first ceremony will honor students graduating from various programs, with Governor Mike Parson as the commencement speaker and recipient of the Government Excellence Award. The second ceremony will recognize students from different academic fields, with Bryan Magers as the keynote speaker and recipient of the Bronze Bear Award. A total of 954 bachelor’s degrees, 435 master’s degrees, and 11 doctorate degrees will be conferred. The university will also highlight and honor students who have excelled in Missouri State’s Honors College, as well as those graduating with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Among them, 84 will graduate summa cum laude, 90 magna cum laude, and 190 cum laude. The event promises to be a celebration of academic achievement and hard work, showcasing the dedication and success of Missouri State University’s graduating class of 2024.
