Sophomore defensive back Phillip Roche has parted ways with the Missouri Tigers, according to a team official. It is unclear whether Roche’s departure was a player or team decision, but he is expected to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9. Roche, who played 120 snaps this season, is credited with two tackles in 10 games played. As a freshman, he played regularly and recorded nine tackles, one for loss, one sack, and a forced fumble. Roche still has two seasons and a redshirt year of eligibility left. In July, Roche was arrested in Columbia and issued three warrants for failing to appear in court, including driving at speeds exceeding 100 mph in areas with speed limits of 60 mph and 70 mph. Roche’s future in collegiate football remains uncertain as he prepares to enter the transfer portal.
