Taylor Swift fans who missed out on the singer’s “Eras Tour” were treated to a wealth of behind-the-scenes details in her newly released tour book. The hardcover book, priced at $39.99, was available at Target stores and offered insight into the record-breaking concert run that spanned five continents over 21 months. The book, which had an initial print run of two million copies, revealed hidden Easter eggs from the tour, such as the fact that Swift’s spinning platform during her performance of “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” is operated by a crew member. Additionally, fans learned that dancers in the song “Mastermind” recreate a chessboard on stage to symbolize a checkmate. The book also shed light on Swift’s backstage routine, including the fact that she travels in a janitor’s cart with a comfortable seat and decorated walls. The tour, which featured songs from a variety of Swift’s albums, will conclude with three shows in Vancouver. Swift expressed gratitude to her fans in the book and hinted at future projects, signing off with “See you next era.” The singer’s successful efforts to monetize her music beyond concerts and recordings were evident in the release of the tour book and accompanying album, sold exclusively at Target.
