Missouri State Women’s Basketball Defeats Gonzaga 65-64 at Paradise Jam Tournament
Missouri State women’s basketball improved to 4-1 on the season with a 65-64 victory over Gonzaga to open its stay at the Paradise Jam tournament. Lacy Stokes had crucial shots at the end of each half to secure the win for the Lady Bears. Paige Rocca also had a strong performance, scoring 14 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Despite never trailing in the game, the Lady Bears faced a challenge as Gonzaga went on a 17-3 run in the fourth quarter to make it a one-possession game. However, Missouri State held on for the win. The Lady Bears capitalized on turnovers and bench points to secure the victory.
Missouri State will face Florida State in their next game at the Paradise Jam tournament. The game is set to tip off at 4:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+. The Lady Bears will look to continue their success and improve their record in the tournament.
