With under two weeks to go until Election Day, the Democratic National Committee is ramping up its ground game operation. Canvassers are using the DNC’s canvassing software to target potential Democratic voters, while text messages are being sent out more frequently with improved cellphone lists reaching over 80% of voters. The DNC is also promoting IWillVote.com, a tool that helps voters find polling locations and check their registration status.
The DNC’s efforts are financially supported by the Harris campaign and outside groups that have spent $464 million in support of the Democratic campaign. This is in addition to the billion dollars raised by the Harris campaign in the third quarter. On the GOP side, the Trump campaign is utilizing its Trump Force 47 voter outreach program, with outside groups such as Elon Musk’s America PAC and Turning Point Action also contributing to door-knocking and text-sending efforts.
The competition between the two parties is fierce, with both sides pouring significant financial resources into their ground game operations. The sheer amount of money being spent is staggering, with the Democratic efforts alone surpassing the gross domestic product of more than a dozen countries. As Election Day approaches, the intensity of campaigning and outreach continues to escalate as both parties vie for the support of American voters.
