Missouri Likely to Play Without QB Brady Cook and RB Nate Noel in Alabama Game

Missouri quarterback Brady Cook and running back Nate Noel are both listed as doubtful for their upcoming game against Alabama. Cook, who filled in for injured starter Connor Bazelak last week, suffered an injury during the game and may not be able to play this weekend. Noel, who leads the team in rushing yards, is also dealing with an injury that could keep him out of the game against the Crimson Tide.

The potential absence of Cook and Noel would be a significant blow to the Missouri offense. Cook showed promise in his limited playing time, throwing for 79 yards and a touchdown against North Texas. Noel has been a key contributor in the running game, rushing for 246 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.

If Cook is unable to play, redshirt freshman Tyler Macon is expected to start at quarterback for Missouri. Macon has seen limited action this season, completing 2 of 3 passes for 11 yards. Sophomore running back Elijah Young is likely to see an increased workload in Noel’s absence.

Facing a formidable opponent in Alabama, Missouri will need all hands on deck to have a chance at pulling off an upset. The Crimson Tide are currently ranked No. 5 in the nation and have one of the most potent offenses in college football. However, Missouri will look to their depth and resilience to overcome the injuries and put up a fight against the top-ranked team.

The Missouri coaching staff is closely monitoring Cook and Noel’s progress leading up to the game and will make a final decision on their status closer to game time. Fans will have to wait and see if the Tigers will be at full strength when they take on the Crimson Tide in what promises to be a thrilling matchup.
