Olympians Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield recently got engaged after dating for about two years. Lyles proposed with a romantic set-up that included rose petals, candles, and a heartfelt message, captured in a video shared on Instagram. The couple received an outpouring of congratulations and support from friends and fans.
Lyles and Bromfield initially connected when Bromfield messaged Lyles on social media in 2017, but didn’t start dating until 2022. They took things slow due to busy schedules, briefly dated other people, but ultimately knew they wanted to be together. Both athletes have had successful careers, with Bromfield winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in the women’s 4×400 meter relay, and Lyles bringing home gold and bronze from Paris.
Bromfield also graduated with a law degree in 2020. The couple has been friends for eight years and celebrated their relationship milestones on social media. They have been featured in a Netflix docuseries and share their dynamic on Bromfield’s Instagram series “Mic’d Up Junelle.”
In dealing with personal losses, including the passing of her mother, Bromfield has turned to therapy, which has been supported by Lyles. The couple has cited the importance of mental health and support in navigating the challenges of their respective careers and personal lives.
