The University of Missouri is making adjustments to parking arrangements for students, faculty, and staff in anticipation of the Mizzou football home opener on Thursday night. The university advised those who park on campus and will be there until 3 p.m. that they may need to park in different locations than usual. Additionally, employees who work on campus but do not teach classes were encouraged to work remotely for the day to help reduce traffic on campus.
On game days, some parking areas will be unavailable for use, including Lot R by Truman’s Landing and PS7 off Hospital Drive and Monk Drive for the upcoming Thursday night game. Lot M-ADA will cost $40 for parking, while parking garages will be free for parking. It is important to note that all lots are cashless, so attendees should plan accordingly.
The adjustments to parking arrangements are intended to ensure a smooth experience for students, faculty, staff, and attendees of the football game. By making alternative parking arrangements and encouraging remote work when possible, the University of Missouri aims to minimize congestion and enhance the overall experience for those on campus for the football game. These changes are part of the university’s efforts to provide a seamless experience for game day attendees and ensure the safety and convenience of everyone involved.
