A recent survey of likely Missouri voters revealed that 52% support amending the state constitution to protect the right to an abortion, with the highest support coming from Democrats, women, those with higher incomes and education, and residents of the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. The survey, conducted by Saint Louis University and YouGov, also found that 50% of respondents support licensed sports wagering and 57% support increasing the minimum wage, which currently stands at $12.30 per hour.

The poll also showed that 54% of respondents plan to vote for former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election, with 41% supporting Vice President Kamala Harris. Governor Mike Parson received a 53% approval rating, while Republican Mike Kehoe was favored by 51% of voters for governor.

Furthermore, respondents agreed that the economy should be the top priority for the Missouri government, followed by health care, education, and infrastructure. Additionally, the survey found widespread support for requiring criminal background checks for all gun purchases in Missouri, as well as allowing counties and cities to pass their own gun regulations.

Overall, the survey highlighted the political divisions within the state, with differing opinions on a range of issues from abortion rights to gun control. The results provide valuable insights into the preferences and priorities of likely Missouri voters as the 2024 election approaches.
