EPIC Church Pastor Bobby Hawk Steps Down Following Allegations

Bobby Hawk Resigns from EPIC Church Amid Allegations of Misconduct

Blue Springs, Missouri – Bobby Hawk has resigned from EPIC Church, following allegations made by five women against him. The Blue Springs Board of Education has accepted his resignation as board president, and the church has placed him on leave. Izzy Davis, a former youth leader at EPIC Church, detailed allegations in a blog post, describing feeling uncomfortable when Hawk held her hand.

Blue Springs Mayor Chris Lievsay stated that the police department is taking the allegations seriously and is reaching out to gather more information. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, no criminal charges have been filed against Hawk at this time. Megan Devers, a forensic interviewer, highlighted the insidious nature of child abuse and the importance of parents listening to their children and seeking help if needed.

Additionally, Blue Springs School Board member April Agate announced her resignation from the EPIC Foundation, which was created by Hawk in 2020. Jeff Siems, another board member involved in the foundation and school board, has also resigned from the EPIC Foundation. Both Agate and Siems expressed their shock at the events surrounding Hawk and emphasized their ongoing commitment to serving the community and improving the education system in Blue Springs.

The community is urged to come together in prayer for all parties involved as they navigate this difficult situation and seek to find a path forward that brings glory to God’s kingdom.
