Arthur Nathaniel Booth, known for a viral video where he broke down in court after being recognized by a judge, has been arrested for a string of crimes in Miami. The 58-year-old suspect allegedly posed as a water or plumbing inspector to gain access to homes and then stole jewelry and chains from his victims before fleeing the scene. One victim, an 85-year-old man, had his gold chain stolen by Booth after being tricked into opening a faucet. Police suspect that Booth may be linked to other incidents as well. Booth previously appeared in court nearly 10 years ago for a burglary and police pursuit, where the judge, who recognized him as a former middle school classmate, offered words of encouragement and expressed her disappointment. Booth has been charged with multiple offenses including robbery, burglary, home invasion, and robbery without a weapon. He is currently in jail awaiting further legal proceedings, but no attorney information for him was available at the time. The Miami Police Department believes that Booth should be incarcerated due to his criminal behavior.
