Man taken into custody for deadly shooting of son and woman in Eolia, Missouri


Mathew G Todd, a 53-year-old man from Pike County, Missouri, is facing serious charges after allegedly shooting and killing his 26-year-old son, Timothy Todd, and a woman, Kaitlyn Potter-Navratil, early morning on July 27th, 2024. The incident took place at a residence on Collage Circle Drive in Eolia, MO, where deputies and the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting.

According to witnesses, there was arguing at the residence before Mathew Todd allegedly retrieved a rifle, shot into the ceiling, and then fatally shot Timothy and Kaitlyn. Mathew Todd was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, domestic assault in the first degree, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action. His bond has been set at $500,000, and he is currently being held at the Pike County Jail.
