The 2024 Texas Innovation Invitational conference is set to take place in San Antonio from July 29 to 31, bringing together mobility leaders and advocates from across Texas to discuss transportation and technology innovations. The event will feature discussions on the latest transportation technologies, safety measures, connectivity challenges, and traffic operations, with a tech showcase highlighting public and private sector exhibitors.
Former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Henry Cisneros, San Antonio District 4 City Councilwoman Adriana Rocha Garcia, and other state transportation leaders will be among the speakers at the conference’s second day, focusing on the link between transportation and the Texas economy.
Regional teams will have the opportunity on the final day to present pitches addressing transportation challenges, with expert judges providing feedback and selecting three winners who will receive an award and be eligible to submit their projects for consideration for grant funds from the Texas Department of Transportation.
The Federal Highway Administration State Transportation Incentive Council will select one recipient of the funds to assist with project implementation. The conference aims to foster collaboration and innovation in transportation solutions and is expected to draw participation from a wide range of industry professionals and organizations.
