Two boaters off the coast of New Hampshire had a dramatic and lucky escape after their vessel was capsized by a breaching whale, an event caught on video. The incident took place near Odiorne Point State Park in Rye. The video shows the massive mammal breaching the water and hitting the back of the 23-foot boat, causing at least one of the boaters to fall into the ocean. Fortunately, the boaters were rescued by Colin Yager and his brother, who quickly came to their aid. The U.S. Coast Guard praised the good Samaritans for their quick actions and confirmed that no injuries were reported. The Coast Guard crew from Station Portsmouth also reported that the whale seemed to be uninjured and the boat was salvaged after the incident. Overall, the boaters were fortunate to have escaped unharmed from the encounter with the whale, which serves as a reminder of the unpredictability and power of nature.
