The media poll mirrored the coaches’ predictions with Central Missouri in first place, Pittsburg State in second, Northwest in third, Missouri Western in fourth, Fort Hays State in fifth, Emporia State in sixth, Central Oklahoma in seventh, Missouri Southern in eighth, Washburn in ninth, and Nebraska-Kearney in tenth place.
