An O’Fallon, Missouri man, Donnovan Gray, has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that took place in Ferguson on Tuesday afternoon. Three people, including two men and a woman, were found shot inside a residence on Renshaw Drive, with one man suffering life-threatening injuries. The incident reportedly stemmed from a confrontation between Gray and the female victim about a trailer he had parked at their residence.
The situation escalated into an argument, during which Gray allegedly strangled the female victim. When the male victim attempted to intervene, Gray brandished a handgun, leading to an exchange of gunfire between the two men. The male victim was shot multiple times in the abdomen, while Gray was struck in the shoulder. The female victim was also shot in the leg. Fortunately, five children present in the home at the time were unharmed.
Gray has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, and endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently being held without bond due to a prior felony conviction. The St. Louis County Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
