The Missouri State Bears have announced an exciting addition to their football schedules for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The Bears will be facing off against the Marshall Thundering Herd and SMU Mustangs in two-game sets, with both series being home-and-home affairs.
The Bears will kick off their series against Marshall by traveling to Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, W.Va., on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, before hosting the Thundering Herd at Robert W. Plaster Stadium in Springfield, Mo., on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026. The series against SMU will begin with a home game at Plaster Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, followed by a trip to Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
Marshall’s Director of Athletics, Christian Spears, expressed excitement about facing Missouri State, a new member of Conference USA. The Bears will also be playing against Arkansas and UT Martin in 2025, and Kansas State in 2026.
Missouri State is set to celebrate its inaugural FBS football season in 2025, joining Conference USA on July 1 of that year.
