An Indiana man, Steve Anderson, was stopped by police in Missouri while driving his custom-built UFO on Interstate 44 in Crawford County. The sheriff’s department jokingly warned him about warp speed and keeping his phasers on stun only. Anderson was heading to the 2024 UFO Festival in Roswell, New Mexico. The deputy took a photo with Anderson before letting him continue on his way.
Anderson, a mechanic, built the UFO with his friend Dennis Bellows, converting a Geo Metro into a flying saucer. This unique vehicle has been featured in various news outlets and was even spotted earlier in the year driving on Interstate 465. Anderson’s creation was inspired by playing with a toy spaceship, and he describes driving it as an adventure every time. His love for fun and excitement has him traveling across the country in the UFO, including attending events like the UFO Festival in Roswell.
Anderson’s story was featured in a 2014 segment on 13News, part of the “Only In Indiana” series. His passion for creativity and enjoyment has brought attention to his one-of-a-kind UFO vehicle, making him a standout on the roads wherever he goes.
