Former Canadian chef Kenneth Law is facing 28 charges related to the sale of poisonous gas suicide kits, including 14 counts of murder and 14 counts of aiding and counselling suicide. Law is accused of targeting vulnerable people and selling packages of masks and sodium nitrite online. He is alleged to have sold as many as 1,200 of these deadly packages to people in 40 countries since 2020. The National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom is investigating after 272 packages were shipped there, linked to the deaths of 90 people. Other countries have also launched investigations into Law, following notification by Interpol. Law’s lawyer, Matthew Gourlay, stated that his client plans to plead not guilty.
